I trained at London College of Fashion in make-up styling, and joined Ken Picton in 1997. I have been doing make-up for 20 years and still absolutely love it! Weddings are a particular favourite of mine and also photoshoots working with Ken and the industry's finest.

I have travelled to many places with my work including, France, Germany, L A and Australia and hope to see a lot more!

Best of all, I love flicking through magazines and checking out the latest fashions and products, so do come and see me for a make-over, make-up lesson or any general make-up advice.

Just returned from a weeks shu uemura make-up and skincare training in London, A very busy but informative week looking in depth at the products, and techniques used to acheive the best results, Its such an amazing make-up line the technology, and super concentrated ingredients really do make a massive difference in results especially the eye colours which have the most beautiful pigments. So im looking forward to seeing my clients to show the great results they can acheive!

The Golden Globes in hollywood last night and Make -up seemed to be very minimal this year with lots of nudes, healthy skin and flushes of pink or peach on the cheeks,pretty much everywhere For me Angelina Jolies make-up and hair stole the show, hair beautifully swept back, defined eyes, just the right amount close to the root of the lashes, perfectly groomed brows and THE most gorgeous red lip that complimented her dress perfectly. Effortlessly classic she simply looked stunning......

Hi got a few exciting things to look forward to over the coming months, one being tommmorrow! Dafydd is auditioning for L'oreal ID artist In Birmingham which is a brilliant opportunity to be involved with their programme,incuding shows presentations and travel, I am doing the make-up for his model, a very strong french if not jessie J inspired look! so good luck Daf... Im going to London in February for a Shu Uemura make-up educational which I am super excited about!! I am going to be involved in their training programmes, I love the make-up so cannot wait to get hands on and get creative updates soon!! x

OMG!!!! We won!! still absolutely buzzing from Monday night, words cannot describe how it felt when the very first award of the evening was our wales and west british hairdresser award, and then to hear and the winner is Ken Picton! we brought the house down. The party well and truly started and finished at around 4.30am congratulationS to Ken and to all the winners in all the regions what an amazing night... x

Did a photoshoot on Monday at an amazing location in Llandaff north an old delapitated building for cardiff atrium yearly magazine, me and Dafydd did hair and make-up for five great models representing various personal styles rock chick, geek chic etc. Had a great day and a chance to meet some great people, look forward to seeing the shots!x

Wow what a night we had!!! congratulations to us all as we won best salon team 2011 at creative heads most wanted awards 2011. Held in lawrence Hall, westminster om monday 5th september champagne and cocktails were flowing and keith Lemmon was the host for a hilarious evening! As we were celebrating our win after crashing on to stage we took our seats and then bagged another award for best salon experience 2011 and up we went again, had a fantastic evening and I feel really proud to be part of such an amazing team and being recognised for it. Dafydd dedicated the award quite rightly so to Christine Picton she would equally have been so very proud.... Good luck to Ken and the team for the british hairdressing business awards on September the 12th as we are nominated for another four awards!!!! x

Monday 28th March was the 'Burlesque' evening and what a great night we had! we prepped our beautiful model emily before the event started at 8pm she floated through the crowds with a beautiful agent provocateur corset and feather bustle and i created a forties inspired make-up to compliment her beautifully waved hair! myself and rachelle had a fantastic night topped off with a four course dinner at the shreaton park lane, it was amazing to be in the room prepping the models alongside icons such as beverley c andrew collinge,errol douglas to name but a few of course not forgetting our very own Ken...The models presented by other icons were also spectacular and some very avante garde!! the evening was completed by amazing burlesque dancers, what a treat!!

Hi all, got an exciting few months coming up firstly with Terry Calverts 'Evening of burlesque' at the end of march featuring 20 of the best hairdressers in the uk presenting 'Burlesque' which is an exciting theme to follow, we are going to see some spectacular sights and i am currently working on a mood board and tear sheets for inspiration for our look as we speak.... Next we have the British Hairdressing awards entry to complete which will consist of a London photo shoot in May I always forward to it, so we all have to get our creative juices flowing! x

Hi Everyone what an amazing two weeks we have all had, firstly hj business awards at the lancaster in london had an amazing night and Ken picked up innovator award for his website! very well deserved... Then I had the exclusive shu uemura make-up in house to use in the salon on my clients a very predtigious make-up line sold exclusively in Harrods Harvey Nichols etc. Say no more Only place in Wales and we have it! so please feel free to come in and check it out! Lastly another trip to London for the wella trend vision awards in the camden roundhouse with Rachelle and Nicola shortlisted for the top Awards and we walked away with Bronze well done girls you really worked hard... so roll on November when Ken is shortlisted again for the wales and west Hairdresser of the year We all think he will hold on to that title will keep you posted x

I'm really excited to have now introduced Shellac 14day polish to our nail services!!! Shellac can be used on fingers and toes and is a great chip free alternative to polish for up to 14 days!! Been having a play with it, all the girls are loving it!!
