Hi, I joined the team in 1994, as a part-time receptionist. Over the years I have worked my way through the ranks from reception to being Ken's PA, salon manager and now general manager.

My job is varied and no two days are the same. I enjoy so many aspects of my role; I love working on business development, working with the team to help them achieve their goals, and of course with our clients.

What an amazing night at the Creative Head Most Wanted Awards 2011, hosted by Keith Lemon. The man is a legend!! We are so proud and pleased that we were selected as the Most Wanted best salon team of 2011, this award we dedicated to our fellow team member who is longer with us Christine Picton she would of been extremely proud. Just as we were celebrating winning this award it was announced that we were also selected as the Most Wanted Best salon experience amazing news!!!!!! Well done to all the team and a great Big thank you to Creative Head for a fantastic evening.

This is shaping up to very exciting year indeed, We have just heard that Ken has been selected as a finalist in the British Hairdressing Awards for Wales and West category which is Fantastic news!!!. We are all so very proud of Ken and reaching the finals of all nine awards entered. Congratulations Ken and well done all the team for all the hard work that you do day in day out. We've had some more exciting news this week!!!! We have been shortlisted for the final of HJ Business Awards 2011! This year we entered four categories and have been shortlisted for all four which is fantactic news!!! We've been shortlisted for THE CUSTOMER CARE AWARD, SALON OF THE YEAR, SALON TEAM and our very own Ken for BUSINESS DIRECTOR. Winner's will be announced in September, so fingers crossed. We're all very proud and excited about this news. Well done everyone and good luck!

Some exciting news!! We have just found out that we have been shortlisted for the final of the Most Wanted Awards 2011. This Year we entered four categories, BEST SALON TEAM, BEST ONLINE SALON, BEST SALON EXPERIENCE and our very Own Ken for BUSINESS THINKER and we have been shortlisted for final for them ALL - fantastic news. What a busy and exciting time we are having, so much going on in and out of the salon at the moment, its a job keeping up with the it all. Ken and Dafydd have been very busy both in the salon and travelling all over, working hard presenting show's and seminars, flying the Ken Picton salon banner well done guys. We've also had some exciting times in our training academy too with a couple of our apprentices qualifying in City & Guilds NVQ level 2 hairdressing so big congratulations to them. One of the latest editions to our services at the beginning of the year Great Lengths hair extensions is proving to be a real big hit with clients and the team with some stunning looks achieved well done to linzi, Izzie and Mille great success girls. Our team of beauty experts will also be introducing new services to the our menu with the introduction of La body treatments from Keraskin. Looking forward to trying these treatments!!!! keep an eye on the website for further information. The Salon is also very busy at the moment so well done team great job. All that remains for me to say is a huge congratulations to Sally and her family on their new edition a baby boy, cant wait to meet him.

What a great night the HJ Business Awards was in London at the Lancaster on monday, with ken winning the innovation award for our web site. It was great to be part of the evening and be there to see Ken pick up the award, makes you feel very proud of the salon and to be part of such a great team. Congratulations!! We are now waiting to see how Niocla and Rachelle get on at the Trend Vision UK Final tomorrow at the Roundhouse in Camden. Both have put so much effort in their preparation, we're very proud of them and wish them lots of luck, we're all keeping our fingers crossed. Also at Trend Vision Dafydd will be making his debut with the Generation Now Team, which i'm sure is going to be a spectacular show, good luck Dafydd. Some of the team will be travelling to London to support them and will no doubt have a fantastic time! Can't wait to hear all about it! Good luck guys!!

what a busy and exciting month we're having already. we've so much going on at the moment, in and out of the salon. It's a job to keep up with it all. The latest bit of fantastic news, is that ken has been short listed for the final of HJ hairdresser of the year wales and west held in November. Which he won last year so fingers crossed he can make it two years in a row. September is shaping up to be even busier with the final of creative head and the HJ business awards and not forgetting the UK final of Trend vision. we'll keep you posted on the results. I would also like to congratulate Lucy and her hunsband on the arrival of her little boy Alfie, Can't wait to see him.

It's a busy start to the year - Ken's image in Elle magazine is out (see the press section) and there's lots more to come! After winning the Fellowship for British Hairdressing's Consumer Image of the Year Award in December, Ken has shot with Your Hair and the results will be on the cover soon - also look out for one of his gorgeous blonde images on the cover of their look book out Feb 15. Daffyd has been working his magic on Wedi 3, have you tuned in? And we've got a shiny new press section here on the website with lots of newly uploaded features for you to enjoy...

The new model collection is continuing to make a splash - if you didn't see it on the cover of WM then head over to the press cuttings area and you'll also find the full feature on the top trends for A/W! Ken and the team will be working hard over the weekend, at the huge Salon International event at Docklands on Sunday. Then Ken will be squeezing in the prestigious annual Most Wanted winners' breakfast hosted by Creative Head for the elite few, before heading to a photoshoot to transform a couple of lucky readers for a national magazine - watch this space for the results... 3 weeks in to doing Ken's PR and we're unbelievably busy already! The gorgeous new collection has been snapped up for a magazine front cover, and Ken's been doing quotes for a number of magazines and websites. Did you catch him on BBC Radio Wales this week talking about the new 'trend' for grey hair? MW are also featuring the new collection with an overview of the top trends for autumn/winter - look out for it in the press section soon... The salon's amazing double win at the Most Wanted awards has been making news - a very proud moment for the whole team. More news soon!

I have been Ken's accountant since 1994. I am responsible for producing the accounts and making sure things run smoothly financially. This is always a challenge with someone like Ken, as he never stands still!
